Thank you so much to everyone who has been so kind, generous and supportive.
I did it! Despite dealing with an injury and feeling VERY unprepared, I finished my marathon. A certain OTHER Scotti may have gotten me by about 2 minutes, but we both finished.
Now. We rest. And eat things like whole bags of pretzels and take-out. And take a lot of Advil!

You are awesome!!!! Who cares what your time was...you just finished a freakin' marathon!
Shari: 4:58. About 30-40 minutes slower than I wanted, but given I hadn't run much in about 4 weeks, it was ok. My sore knee wasn't really an issue thanks to awesome PT and Ortho, but my lack of running cost me time. :) I learned a lot this time and want to try another marathon.. in 2014. :) 2013 I'm focusing on halves and longer triathlons.
Thanks, Melis.
Wow! Congratulations!
